Climate & trips

The valley of Soller enjoys a gentle climate, typically Mediterranean, with a damp yet balmy winter, a warm, dry summer and a very pleasant spring and autumn. The average temperature throughout the year is 17C with a maximum of 35C in the summer and a minimum 7C in the winter.

.

Some of the loveliest views of the town and the mountain range can be seen from the sea. From spring to autumn, and occasionally in winter, there are many cruises from Port of Soller to Sa Calobra and Cala Tuente or to Deia, La Foradada and even down to San Telmo, at the most westerly point of the Sierra de Traumuntana. It’s well worth taking a trip from the Port to Sa Colobra to see the amazing beach and ravine.

You can catch the coach which runs hourly to Palma or use the train from Soller. Deia and Valdemosa are 20 and 30 minutes drive away respectively and Pollensa about 80 minutes drive up and over the mountains. All have spectacular views
